As an HR professional I have often experienced how dependent you are on external parties for HR solutions. That you buy expensive IT solutions that subsequently disappoint. Or that HR solutions are delivered, which you think could have been done much better yourself. So when we started Successful@Work, the challenge was to create an IT tool with which you can create your own onboarding program. An HR IT Tool for and by HR professionals!

I recently visited a former colleague, who is also HR Manager. He told me his organisation had set up an onboarding program with an external party. The investment for this was 10,000 euros and then the monthly costs for management.

After a year, he wanted to make changes to the onboarding program. Then it turned out that the content was not theirs, but that of the third party. A change in the program again cost money. The result was that the onboarding program was not adjusted.

I recognized his story. As an HR professional I have often experienced how dependent you are on external parties for HR solutions. That you buy expensive IT solutions that subsequently disappoint. Or that HR solutions are delivered, of which you think: I could have done that much better myself. Or: that can be done much faster, better or easier?

So when we started Successful@Work, the challenge was to create an IT tool with which you can create your own onboarding program.

Let's introduce ourselves

Bianca Weijers, nice! With more than 25 years of experience, I have more than earned my spurs in the HR profession. I have worked as an HRM and line manager and as an external advisor at the renowned consultancy firm Berenschot. I am genuinely interested in people and with this I get things moving.  

And Mark Nierop is my business partner. He makes the IT part behind the onboarding tool.  Mark also started in the HR profession. As a recruiter, project manager and HR Data analyst. But especially as a department manager with a focus on continuous improvement of all HR processes. After having found the passion for software development, he is a multi-entrepreneur.

To be successful

For us, being successful is doing what you are good at! What gives you pleasure and energy! And you do that together with others! With others you make new combinations, which ensure that you rise above yourself. And that is the ultimate feeling of happiness for us, when 1+1 becomes three!

The mission of the Successful@Work Onboarding App is to connect new colleagues with their team as quickly as possible, so that they can use their talents and qualities to the maximum for themselves and their organisation.

Do it yourself

Ever since I was little I wanted to do everything myself. From making sandwiches to opening the door, I wanted to do it myself! Discover the world for yourself.

I have that in my work too. By trying new things, I learn and develop further. And I think that’s the most beautiful thing there is.

So when I started making online onboarding programs with Successful@Work. I also wanted a solution with which we as HR professionals – help other HR professionals to get started themselves.

An online tool that HR professionals use to create an onboarding program themselves. After all, onboarding is no rocket science. You can do that yourself. You just need the tools.

Challenge

The challenge was therefore to create an IT tool with which you can quickly, easily and flexibly create an onboarding program yourself.

And it worked!

Together with Mark we have created an onboarding platform. With the wizard you can quickly, easily and flexibly put together an onboarding program in 7 steps.
